McGilvray’s Bed & Breakfast offers the following amenities:
At McGilvray’s, breakfast is an event to savor. All breakfasts are home-cooked using mostly local and organic ingredients including milk and cream from Castle Rock Organic Dairy, meats from a variety of local purveyors and produce from the Chippewa Falls farmers market or, at the right time of year, straight from the McGilvray’s gardens. The coffee and tea are both fair-trade and organic. Everything is made from scratch and served on beautiful antique dishes. *Special dietary restrictions can be handled with reasonable notice*
You wont find much, if anything, to worry about in our quaint little city. However, off-street parking is available if you desire it.
All rooms are equipped with their own controllable air conditioning units.
Still have a little bit of work to finish up? Worry not. McGilvray’s has wireless internet so that you can work from your laptop while swinging on the front porch or sprawled across your comfortable bed.
For those who desire it, a television and DVD player are available for use in the common area.
Spend a chilly evening enjoying a glass of wine or some hot chocolate in front the fireplace in the common area.
Enjoy the shared area between the guest rooms at the top of the staircase. Peruse the artifacts, marvel at the Victorian-era windows and staircase or simply enjoy a good book and a cup of coffee on the loveseat.
McGilvray’s is filled with Victorian-era antiques, typical of those that one could’ve found in Angus McGilvray’s days here. For antique lovers and modernists alike, every step will bring a more fascinating relic of interest.
